Overview
The Rapid Treasure Escape is a two player local coop racing game with a twist. Players are encouraged to share one controller to steer a rowing boat through an obstacle course.
This project was created during the project phase in the first semester at Cologne Game Lab. The limitations we were given were that the game should be a ludic game that should deal with the topic of success.
We developed the game over the course of 9 weeks with a group of 5 people. During that time we implemented a procedural level generator based on a collection of handmade tiles, responsive animations for the handmade characters, water physics and couple of other things.
